We are a small non-profit teen rock band program with big ideas. Earlier this year, we had an idea to have our students perform in an 8-hour livestream concert to raise money for the program. We had two goals: stream the concert live on the internet via pay-per-view and then offer it on-demand after the event.

No one in our organization knew how we were going to do this…and many didn’t think it could be done. We were introduced to Rudy and Velikom when talking on the phone to someone who worked in the livestream business. He told me I had to talk to this really great guy, Rudy, who knew about this technology and would be very helpful. At this point, I had talked to probably 15 people all over the world (even in South Africa) to find out how we could do this on our modest budget. None of these people were very interested in our organization, didn’t show any enthusiasm about what we were trying to do and their costs were way out of our budget.

I called Rudy and figured I was going to have the same conversation I had had with the 15 other people I had called. I couldn’t have been more wrong.

From my first phone call with Rudy, I knew we could pull off the project with his help. Right away, he was excited about our project – and his excitement was sincere. In our first conversation, I felt as if he were already on our team! What makes this story even more incredible is that I called Rudy 14 days before our event.

For the next 14 days, Rudy and the Velikom team worked tirelessly around the clock to help make our dream happen! They were always available to us via phone or email. Rudy built a website for us to host the livestream event, www.pluggedinband.tv. He built a paywall system so that we could keep more of the profits and not have to use a big pay-per-view livestream company that required a 50/50 split. On the day of the event, Rudy was even available to our customers. He took calls and emails from parents and relatives of our students when they needed technical help to access the event. The event went off flawlessly, and it was our most successful spring fundraiser ever.

Rudy helped us on additional projects this year with the same amazing customer service, technical expertise and enthusiasm. We look forward to working with Rudy and Velikom on many more projects. It’s so much fun to work with Rudy, that it doesn’t even feel like work!

Even when we are not working on a project together, Rudy continues to think of ideas and contacts that would benefit our organization. I still consider Rudy and Velikom part of the Plugged In team!
